[AUDIO LOG]

Daniel's Music Foundation.

DAVID: Hello, my name is David, and I'm a music specialist and teacher at one of my favorite places to be, Daniel's Music Foundation. And I'm glad you're here. In this video, we will be learning and singing two songs about love. Our first song is called Take a Little Love and Pass It On. Our second is called Magic Penny.

DAVID: As always, please feel free to substitute any of the motions in this video for ones that feel best to you and your body. There is always a way to participate when you're thinking creatively. In the song, when we say, take a little love and pass it on, we can place our hands on our heart and then extend our hands forward when we say pass it on. So it goes like this. Hands at your heart.

DAVID: (SINGING) Take a little love and pass it on. Bring them forward.

DAVID: (SINGING) Pass it on. Pass it on. Take a little love and pass it on.

DAVID: Good job. Next, when we sing, (SINGING) pass it all around, we extend our hands to different places. So first, I go to the side, and then the middle, and then the other side. So I say, (SINGING) pass it all around. Wonderful work. Let's try it from the beginning.

DAVID: (SINGING) Take a little love and pass it on, pass it on, pass it on. Take a little love and pass it on. Pass it all around.

DAVID: Great. The lyrics for the next part are--(SINGING) see what it does, see where it goes, feel it from your head to toes.

DAVID: For see what it does, I place a flat hand, palm side down over my eyes, as if I'm looking out. And for see where it goes, I point out in the distance. So it says, (SINGING) see what it does, see where it goes.

DAVID: You try. (SINGING) See what it does.

DAVID: Now, point. (SINGING) See where it goes.

DAVID: Nice. Next, it says, (SINGING) feel it from your head to toes. For that part, you can either tap those places or point to those places. Let's try that part together.

DAVID: (SINGING) See what it does.

DAVID: Good and point. (SINGING) See where it goes. Feel it from your head to toes.

DAVID: Wonderful job. For the next part that goes, (SINGING) give it away, do it today, make somebody happy, we bring our hands out for give it away, like we're giving a gift.

DAVID: (SINGING) Give it away. You try, sing (SINGING) Give it away.

DAVID: For "do it today", we take one hand and place it on top of the other, almost like a clap, where one hand lands on top of the other. And for make somebody happy, we give ourselves a big hug by crisscrossing our arms around ourselves. Now, let's take it from the top. Here we go.

DAVID: (SINGING) Take a little love and pass it on, pass it on, pass it on. Take a little love and pass it on, pass it all around. See what it does. See where it goes. Feel it from your head to toes. Give it away. Do it today. Make somebody happy.

DAVID:Great job. Now, let's try it with guitar. Are you ready? OK.

[GUITAR PLAYING]

DAVID:(SINGING) Take a little love and pass it on, pass it on, pass it on. Take a little love and pass it on, pass it all around. See what it does. See where it goes. Feel it from your head to toes. Give it away. Do it today. Make somebody happy.

DAVID:Let's try it again.

DAVID: (SINGING) Take a little love and pass it on, pass it on, pass it on. Take a little love and pass it on, pass sit all around. See what it does. See where it goes. Feel it from your head to toes. Give it away. Do it today. Make somebody happy.

DAVID: Splendid. That was so much fun. Magic Penny is our next song. And I want to teach you the chorus first. It goes like this.

DAVID: (SINGING) Love is something if you give it away, give it away, give it away. Love is something if you give it away, you end up having more.

DAVID: So when we say love, we put our hands by our heart. And when we sing give it away, we reach them out, like we're giving our love away. We sing--

DAVID: (SINGING) Love is something if you give it away-- right, reach those hands out-- give it away-- back to your heart and out-- give it away. Love is something if you give it away.

DAVID: Now, for end up having more, we start with our hands close together, and we get further and further apart.

DAVID: (SINGING) You end up having more.

DAVID: By the time we're at more, we're showing how much love we have.

DAVID: (SINGING) You end up having more.

DAVID: Beautiful. Next, let's learn the verse.

DAVID: (SINGING) It's just like a magic penny.

DAVID: That's when you pretend to place a penny into your open hand.

DAVID: (SINGING) Hold on tight.

DAVID: That's when you close your hand that just got the penny.

DAVID: (SINGING) And you won't have any.

DAVID: For "won't have any", you're going to crisscross your hands. You're going to go in and back out, in and back out. So in and back out, in and back out. Let's put that together.

DAVID: (SINGING) It's just like a magic penny, hold on tight or you won't have any.

DAVID: Excellent job. For the final part of the song, the lyrics are--

DAVID: (SINGING) less and spend it, then you'll have so many to roll all over the floor.

DAVID: For "lend and spend", you're going to take those pennies and you're going to share them with everyone. So pretend you're holding on to them, and you're sending them out. You're holding on to them for lend and spend it, then you'll have so many.

DAVID: And my favorite part is to roll all over the floor, you're going to roll your arms around each other as fast as you can. Let's put it together.

DAVID: (SINGING) Less and spend it, then you'll have so many to roll all over the floor.

DAVID: And that brings us right back to the chorus. Let's put the whole thing together.

DAVID: (SINGING) Love is something if you give it away, give it away, give it away, love is something if you give it away, you end up having more. It's just like a magic penny, hold on tight, and you won't have any. Lend and spend it, then you'll have so many to roll all over the floor.

DAVID: Love is something if you give it away, give it away, give it away, love is something if you give it away, you end up having more.

DAVID: That was so great. Now, let's try it with the guitar.

DAVID: [GUITAR PLAYING]

DAVID: (SINGING) Love is something if you give it away, give it away, give it away, love is something if you give it away, you end up having more. It's just like a magic penny, hold on tight, and you won't have any. Lend and spend it, then you'll have so many to roll all over the floor.

DAVID: Love is something if you give it away, give it away, give it away, love something if you give it away, you end up having more.

DAVID: Lovely job. As you know, we love that you are able to join us for this video and that you are in our hearts here at Daniel's Music Foundation.
