Music is the one truly universal language that exists in the world today. It allows all individuals, no matter what their level of experience and ability, to participate and express themselves through a common “voice.”
The DMF Diversity Awareness Through Music Initiative is a free, volunteer program for schools and organizations that harnesses the power of music and helps build a bridge between our community and the greater community. Through interactive, recreational music activities and experiences, the expected outcome is a mutual respect and appreciation for each other, fostered in a safe and welcoming environment.
At the start of each relationship, we collaborate with each partner organization to select the most appropriate approach to ensure a successful program. We currently offer various options, both on and off-site, which can be structured as a one-time program or ongoing series, to help best meet the needs of our partner organization. We also welcome and appreciate the opportunity to develop a custom program.
