As we celebrate our 10-year anniversary this year, our greatest accomplishment has been the growth of our members and community. At DMF we serve a diverse population of individuals with a range of developmental and physical disabilities ages 3 to adult who face challenges such as Autism, Asperger’s, visual impairment, Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome, to name a few. They represent a variety of ethnicities, languages, ability to self-express and ability to move but each benefit from different aspects of our programs.
Some enjoy self-expression through creative movement and percussion; others prefer music with a strong rhythmic base and singing. Regardless of how our members may interact with or relate to music, they all contribute to the greater DMF community in their own unique and special way. We cherish the relationships that have built and formed with new friends and peers, as well as our staff and volunteers.
Through our free Core Program DMF currently serves approximately 300 individuals, while our other program offerings serve 7,000 individuals and growing.
