During 2007, we had over 75 members take one or more of our 25 music instruction classes at DMF and we welcome all disabilities, both developmental and physical. Every member who has taken our weekly Music Instruction Classes has progressed and shown personal improvement. For one it might be learning to follow directions, for another it may be learning a new song on the keyboard, or playing a new beat on a percussion instrument. Many of our members now have the confidence to sing a song in front of their peers. We are always excited to see our members make progress and we celebrate their success with positive feelings of gratitude and encouragement. Please enjoy the slide show of the stars of Daniels Music Foundation!!!

My Story - Keona I always knew I had talent for singing from a very young age. We had a piano at home when I was little. I used to sit on the floor or on the sofa and sing. When I first came to Daniel's Music I was nervous and skeptical. "How could it be free?," I asked myself. When I came I didn't know how to adjust at first but now I'm ok. I enjoy coming, I use it as learning time. I like taking the voice class, I use it like therapy. I feel supported when I am here. One day I would like to perform in a club. I would like to sing some slow songs and some fast songs. I would also like to get a job transcribing medical material. My favorite song is Amazing Grace - what I hear from that song is 'You are forgiven, you don't have to hold a grudge anymore'.
